Cornhuskers Topple Rats with Late Rally
Rock River first baseman Scott McFarland had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 10-9, to DeKalb at The Corn Crib. McFarland was 4-6 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. DeKalb reliever Julián Diéguez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Josh Hunt took the loss. Tai Quian closed it out for his 11th save.

DeKalb took a 10-9 lead on Masao Sakamoto's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Sakamoto hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Rock River pitcher Ramón Román shaking his head.

"What a game," said Sakamoto. "We needed every last run."

With the win, DeKalb has a record of 65-55. Rock River falls to 77-40.
