The Spokane Bulldogs powered past the New York Ninjas, 8-6, at The Kennel. Oscar Mayes was 3-4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3, to lead the charge. Craig Wyman recorded the save for Spokane, his 8th of the season. New York now has a 5-game losing streak.

Al Nichol dealt the Ninjas a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and Spokane trailing 3-0, Nichol, who was drafted in the three round of the 2030 draft, hit a full count fastball for a 2-run single.

In comments to the Spokane Times, Nichol insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
