Vancouver Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
|
South Carolina left-hander Beau Miller pitched his team to a shutout win, 1-0, over the Vancouver Pioneers. The second-place Bombers have won 4 consecutive games.
The Bombers used some clutch hitting to beat the Pioneers, a good example being the at-bat of Alexander Beck in the bottom of the second. With two down, Beck gave his team the lead, 1-0, when he hit a run-scoring single.
Beck told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
