Tight Tilt Goes to Red Bulls, 4-3
|
In a tight contest at Red Bull Stadium, the Riverside Red Bulls edged the Youngstown Tune-Ups by the score of 4-3. Riverside third baseman Kenko Hori, who blasted 2 home runs, was named the player of the game. Lien-ying Mar earned the save for Riverside, his 13th. The first-place Red Bulls, at 68-45, now lead their division by 4½ games.
Juan Politti had a productive at-bat for the Red Bulls with one out in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 3rd, the right fielder hit a sacrifice fly. The at-bat was important in the Riverside win.
"This team is on a mission," said Politti, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
