Morales Delivers Walk-Off Win for Beetlecats
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Bloomfield Road.

Benefiting from Juan Sánchez's productive game, the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats downed the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 7-6. Sánchez belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Beetlecats. Buzzard's Bay reliever Daizo Hirai was credited with the win, to go to 3-5. Rafael López took the loss for Youngstown.

Orlando Morales provided some late-game heroics for Buzzard's Bay. In the bottom of the tenth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a first pitch cutter from Rafael López and propelled Buzzard's Bay to a 7-6 lead.

In postgame comments, Morales said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."

The last-place Beetlecats improved to 47-60.
