Owen Kay was superb against Frisco. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the ACL in strikeouts with 114, had a cutter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 4-0 Shamrocks victory. Royce Leveque got credit for the save for Pacifica. It was his 3rd of the year. Pacifica goes to 68-40. The win puts them 7½ games up in their division.

One pivotal at-bat came in the top of the third with one out. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Rams trailing 2-0, Owen Kay needed to make a quality pitch. He threw a full count cutter to retire Kunihiro Shibata, who lined out.
