Cincinnati Snaps starter Octávio Pérez turned in an exceptional performance against the Long Island Ducks at Long Island Stadium, resulting in a Cincinnati win, 7-2. Bob Torley sewed up the save, his 3rd. With the win, the Snaps improved to 51-60.

Santiago Sierra was a key contributor to the win for the Snaps. In the top of the fourth with no one out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to center. He went 3-5 with 3 singles.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Sierra said. "That's how it goes."
