The Youngstown Tune-Ups beat the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 4-3 at Bloomfield Road, in part due to designated hitter Tatsuzo Tanaka, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Koshiro Ohayashi got the save, the 35th for him this season. At 62-47, Youngstown is in second place in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League.
Tanaka's nice game included a clutch 2-run double in the top of the third.
