Conditions were not ideal but Pacifica and Boise were able to put their game in the books.
The Pacifica Shamrocks knocked off the Boise Hawks, 3-1. Pacifica starter Frank Hillier pitched well enough to earn top player honors. The first-place Shamrocks now have a win-loss record of 67-39.
Pablo Bermúdez took Andrés Seánez deep with one out in the top of the second. On a first pitch splitter, Bermúdez drilled a 2-run home run to left. It was his 4th home run of the season and put Pacifica on top, 3-1.
"I like what I saw today," said Pacifica manager Joe Leftwich, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
