The Pacifica Shamrocks blasted the Boise Hawks, 18-2, at Basque Block Field. Pacifica catcher Ernie Horswill was named player of the game for his productive day. He was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Pacifica reliever Junji Terada picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Bill Myers was saddled with the loss. The first-place Shamrocks, at 66-39, now lead their division by 7˝ games.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out and the bases loaded, the batter, Ernie Horswill, hit a grand slam. It helped Pacifica seize the win.

Boise manager Arinori Nakamura called the blowout loss "an abysmal failure."
