The first-place Carson City Mustang picked up another win at Cowboys Stadium.

The Carson City Mustang handed the Long Island Ducks a sound defeat, 13-1, at Cowboys Stadium. Pedro Moreno was a main contributor to the win. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6 for Carson City. Mike Steveson picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 13-4. Júlio Herrera, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

Moreno contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam. It was one at-bat among others that helped Carson City get the win.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Long Island manager Roger Fievet. "We got flat-out beat."
