Storm Troopers Hang 4-2 Loss on Rats
|
San Antonio withstood an impressive performance by Rock River right fielder Nelson Middleton to defeat the Rats, 4-2, at The Clone Army. Middleton belted 2 home runs. Dave Munier, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 5-4. The 5th-place Storm Troopers are now 41-61, the Rats 68-37.
San Antonio took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and a runner on 1st, Seung-mun Shinn stroked a 2-run home run to make it 3-1, Storm Troopers.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Shinn.
