Politti Excels, Riverside Blows Out Phoenix
|
The Riverside Red Bulls cruised to a 16-3 win over the Phoenix Lights at UFO Field today. Juan Politti led the way, going 3-for-5 for Riverside. Their 63-42 record puts the Red Bulls first in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League.
Haruhiko Yamanaka, who is tied for 3rd in the ACL in home runs with 18, helped out the Riverside cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3 with 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Politti. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
