The Phoenix Lights defeated the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 8-0, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Phoenix designated hitter Virgil Ayliffe was named player of the game for his superb performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Nicolas Dupuis got the win, improving to 8-2. He worked 5 innings, giving up no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The Lights saw their win-loss record go to 57-50. At the same time, the Tune-Ups fell to 60-45.

Ayliffe had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the first inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Lights went on to win.

Ayliffe told a Phoenix Chronicle reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
