Predators Rally For Late Win Over Ducks
The Long Island Ducks got a superb performance from center fielder Masato Takagi, but the Topeka Predators still won the game, 8-6. Takagi was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Oscar Ruiz, credited with the save, is now 4 for 4 in save opportunities. Topeka is second in the Bob Moose League Jim Leyland Division with a record of 56-49.

Had Jeff Mitchell not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Mitchell hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Predators.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Topeka manager Noriyori Shirai.
