Rock River turned a good effort from starter José Mendoza into a win over the Wichita Wolverines at Howling Park. The final score was 6-1. The Rats, at 67-35, have a comfortable 15-game lead in their division.

Rock River grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Josh Kelly delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Rats.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Mendoza.
