Petipas Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
|
Jacksonville first baseman Bill Petipas had a day to remember today, 5-for-5 against the Newark Jail Birds at Cobras Ballpark as the Hellcats picked up a 11-6 victory.
"He was patient up there today," Jacksonville skipper Pete Dellow told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Petipas has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Bill Petipas singled in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Ernesto Trevino in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
This season Petipas is batting .279 with 13 home runs. His totals include 48 RBIs and 45 runs scored.
