With third baseman Stewart Gee leading the charge, the Wichita Wolverines defeated the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 6-4, at Bloomfield Road. Gee, who is tied for 6th in the FFL in doubles with 25, went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. Wichita reliever Moises Ramirez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Vincent Bethea shouldered the loss. Wichita is now 54-49, Buzzard's Bay 43-56.

Alan Lehman chipped in for Wichita, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

Gee told a Wichita Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
