The Wichita Wolverines had no problem beating the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 11-3, at Bloomfield Road. Shane Gross led the way. He was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Wichita. Charlie Haydon earned the win to go to 6-2. He allowed 2 earned runs on 3 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. The Wolverines go to 53-49, putting them third in the Bob Moose League Jim Leyland Division.

In the top of the fourth inning, catcher Alan Lehman came through big-time for the Wolverines. With Wichita leading 4-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
