Hawks Win 5-4 Walk-Off
The Boise Hawks did just enough to sneak past the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 5-4, at Basque Block Field. Boise left fielder Bernardo Ramírez earned player of the game honors. Boise currently is in 4th place in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League at 50-50.

The Hawks beat the Cornhuskers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Pete Freeman produced in the bottom of the 12th. Batting against DeKalb pitcher David Gilmour, Freeman gave his team a 5-4 lead when he hit a walk-off run-scoring double.

"It was a test of wills," said Arinori Nakamura, the Boise skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
