Predators Prevail, 3-1, Over Pacifica
|
The Topeka Predators got a strong performance from pitcher Fred Argueta, who stymied the Pacifica offense en route to a 3-1 win at McCormick Field. Oscar Ruiz earned the save for Topeka, his 2nd of the year. With the win, the Predators improved to 54-48.
Jim Bailey drove in one run for Topeka. The 20-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Junji Terada. It was his 20th RBI of the season.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Argueta said.
