Behind a solid performance from third baseman Martin Poliskin, the Long Island Ducks defeated the Silicon Valley Hackers, 9-6. Poliskin went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Ducks. Miguel Hernández got the save, his 13th in 16 chances. The Ducks saw their win-loss record go to 46-55. At the same time, the Hackers fell to 39-60.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the fourth inning. That's when right fielder Masato Takagi drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Ducks went on to win.

"I felt good up there," said Poliskin. "I saw the ball well."
