Late Magic Gets Phoenix 6-5 Win
|
Starting pitcher Troy Hannah pitched well enough to help the Phoenix Lights beat the Topeka Predators by the score of 6-5. The third-place Lights raised their record to 52-49.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the tenth, Virgil Ayliffe hit a sacrifice fly. The Lights took the lead, 6-5.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Michael Barnett, the Phoenix skipper. "This one tested us."
