Hale Silences Pacifica Bats
|
Dennis Hale never let Pacifica get something going. The San Antonio right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Storm Troopers to a 2-0 win. Earning his 21st save of the year was John Welch. The Storm Troopers go to 38-55, putting them 5th in the Bob Moose League Jim Leyland Division.
It was a remarkable effort from Hale, who is one of the team leaders. Hale recorded 4 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 3 hits. Hale, who leads the FFL with a 1 complete games, moves to 4-5 on the year with 41 strikeouts.
"I just try to put up zeroes," said Hale, "and let the rest take care of itself."
