|
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Jason Craig, the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats defeated the Pacifica Shamrocks, 7-3. Craig went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Beetlecats. With the victory, the Beetlecats record now stands at 42-49.
In the top of the fourth inning, the Beetlecats grabbed the lead when Héctor Orozco rapped a two-out double. Buzzard's Bay was trailing 2-1, when Orozco hit a bases-clearing double off Camilo Pascual to put his team in front, 4-2.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Orozco said.
