The first-place Carson City Mustang took on the Madison Beehive at Cowboys Stadium.
Madison got a terrific game from catcher Gonzalo Rodríguez. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Carson City, 6-3. Rodríguez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Mal Goff closed the game out for Carson City, earning his 21st save.
Mo-ruo Nan was one of the major contributors to the win for Carson City. The light-hitting center fielder stroked a single to right in the bottom of the second inning. For the day, he went 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Nobuharu Chikafuji.
The winning continues for Carson City, with the latest making it 7 straight.
