Carlos Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Cincinnati in Walk-Off Win
|
The Snaps faced a stiff challenge from Wichita pitcher Luis Hernández, but persevered to claim a win at The Studio. The final score was 4-3. Hernández went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Sergio Rodríguez got credit for the win, improving to 5-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The 4th-place Snaps improved to 43-51.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Cincinnati trailing 3-1, Alex Carlos hit a forkball from Jason Graves to right for a 3-run home run. Just like that, the Snaps had a walk-off win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Carlos said.
