In a low-scoring tilt between the Portland Beavers and the Rubber City Rhinos, Félix Reina was the difference-maker. The Portland left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. The 'W' lifts Portland's record to 20-23.
Late in the game, designated hitter Aftab Mengal had a big at-bat for Portland. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single off William Miller. The play gave the Beavers a 3-2 lead.
"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Reina.
