Lights Jolt Jail Birds with Late Rally

Phoenix Lights starter Mauro Rodríguez had all his pitches working at UFO Field. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 9-2 Phoenix win over the Newark Jail Birds. The Lights now have a record of 48-47 with the win over Newark.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when catcher Roger Pynn, who is tied for 7th in the ACL in triples with 4, hit a single. The Lights went on to win.
"I really like what we did out there today," Pynn said after the game.
