The Madison Beehive turned back the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 7-6, at The Hive. Max Lockwood was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Madison reliever Duane Fraser was the winner. His record is now 4-2. Steve Becker took the loss. John Haines finished to wrap up his 18th save.
The Beehive got a lift from pinch hitter Allan Bare who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning off Steve Becker. It was his 10th RBI of the season and put Madison in front, 7-6.
"It feels good to get this one," Bare told the Madison Herald.
With the win, Madison goes to 34-60, while the Storm Troopers fall to 34-54.
