Streaking Ninjas Win Another One
New York beat Rock River at Confucius Field, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Masaharu Aoki, who earned player of the game honors. In 7.2 innings, Aoki surrendered 10 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. New York has now reeled off 7 straight wins.

The Ninjas beat the Rats in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double John Hardwick produced in the bottom of the fifth. Batting against Rock River pitcher Adam Lewis, Hardwick gave his team a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run double.

"The vibe's good," said New York manager Casey Ramey. "We've got to keep it going."
