Hardwick Helps Ninjas Run Win Streak to 6
|
A 4-RBI performance from the former first round draft pick John Hardwick helped the New York Ninjas beat the Rock River Rats, 9-8. Bernard Edgar picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 4 in 6 innings. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Juan López.
Ron Marshall drew 1 walk. He scored 2 times for New York. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Douglas Pantall. It was his 10th walk of the season.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said New York skipper Casey Ramey.
The 4th-place Ninjas have won 6 in a row.
