Stogies Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Stogies had to overcome a good performance from Hawaii pitcher Ehrich Weiss to claim a 4-3 win at The Humidor. Weiss went 7.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Havana reliever Abdul Razzaq Kharoti was credited with the win, to go to 4-1. Greg Ward took the loss for Hawaii. The third-place Islanders have lost 4 consecutive games.
With runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the 12th, Reynaldo Aguilera delivered the knockout blow when he grounded out, driving in 1 run to win it for Havana. In the contest, Aguilera drove in one run.
"I get a nice buzz from a win like this one," said Aguilera.
