In a close game at The Coliseum, the Sandy Springs Spartans edged the Long Island Ducks, 5-4. Sandy Springs catcher Manolo González earned the nod as player of the game. He was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Sandy Springs reliever Shan Huo picked up the win to move to 1-1. Miguel Hernández suffered the loss.
