Tune-Ups Jolt Rams with Late Rally
|
Youngstown Tune-Ups starter Bruce Easton was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Frisco Rams, 5-2. Youngstown reliever Rafael López picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Turan Garibova shouldered the loss. The win puts the Tune-Ups at 49-41, while the Rams drop to 46-46.
Albert López provided some late-game heroics for Youngstown. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a full count fastball from Callum Butler and propelled Youngstown to a 2-1 lead.
"Bruce's tempo and rhythm were good," said Tune-Ups manager Jacob Gaines. "He was the key to us winning."
