DeKalb starter Jim Leclair pitched effectively against the Rock River Rats at The Rat Hole. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Getting the save was Tai Quian, his 4th. The second-place Cornhuskers improved to 47-41.
DeKalb designated hitter Masao Sakamoto contributed to the cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the first. For the game, Sakamoto went 1 for 4.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Leclair told the DeKalb Observer.
