|
Nick Wedemeyer helped his team muscle past the Riverside Red Bulls, 5-3. In the game, the Youngstown shortstop went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times. The win was credited to Sachi Kakuta in relief. His record improves to 7-4. Lien-ying Mar took the loss. Youngstown has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out, Raphaël Cros hit a first pitch fastball from Lien-ying Mar for a run-scoring single. It put Youngstown in front, 4-3.
