Fans who gathered at Confucius Field saw a good contest between the New York Ninjas and Long Island Ducks.
In a well-pitched game between the New York Ninjas and the Long Island Ducks, pitcher Cristo Hernández was fantastic. The New York left-hander was named the player of the game in New York's 3-1 win. Dae-je Kwak recorded the save for New York, his 15th of the season.
New York took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Jim Poole hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Ninjas fans to their feet.
"Cristo had electric stuff," said New York manager Casey Ramey.
New York is now 38-47.
