The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats defeated the Phoenix Lights, 10-6, at Bloomfield Road. Buzzard's Bay catcher Totoya Yamaguchi was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The 5th-place Lights have lost 4 consecutive games.

In the bottom of the 5th, Buzzard's Bay took the lead on a 3-run home run by Ethan Gurston. At the time, the Beetlecats were trailing 4-3, but Gurston's hit with two outs against Phoenix pitcher Pedro Galvan put them in front, 6-4.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Gurston told the Buzzard's Bay Citizen.
