Pioneers Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start

Vancouver rode a good effort from starter Alejandro García to beat the Maple Marauders at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. The final score was 6-2. The winner was Vancouver reliever Bob Archer, now 1-0. The loser was Umarah Abdul-Quddus. With the win, Vancouver boosts its record to 2-3.
Edgardo Bustamante broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the eighth with a run-scoring walk. It put the Pioneers in front, 3-2. For the game, Bustamante drew 1 walk.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said García.
