Jail Birds Pull Even With 4-2 Victory
|
Newark left-hander Andy Schuman pitched his team to victory over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats at Cobras Ballpark. The final score was 4-2. The winning pitcher was Schuman, now 7-2. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 10. Daniel White, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities.
Phil Mouland took Vincent Bethea deep with one out in the bottom of the second. On a 1-0 forkball, Mouland drilled a 2-run home run to left. It was his 10th home run of the season and put Newark on top, 2-0.
