Great Day for Ortega in Enforcers Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 26-year old third baseman Carlos Ortega helped the Atlantic City Enforcers beat the Marysville Monarchs, 6-5. Atlantic City reliever Jim Fisher picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Yohachi Adachi shouldered the loss. Earning his 4th save for Atlantic City was Doug Durham.
Jesus Chavez was one of the major contributors to the win for Atlantic City. The light-hitting center fielder stroked a single to center in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the day, he went 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Chavez.
Marysville has now lost 4 in a row.
