Storm Troopers Knock Off Monarchs, 6-3
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers topped the Marysville Monarchs, 6-3, in Bob Moose League action at The Clone Army. The player of the game was San Antonio pitcher Tagashashi Ueda. The Storm Troopers' win now puts them at 30-49.
Kuniyasu Sato, who is tied for 9th in the FFL in triples with 3, helped out the San Antonio cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Ueda. "Successful pitchers do it."
