Enforcers Fall Short at Wichita
|
The Atlantic City Enforcers went down to defeat to Robinson Merrado and his Wichita teammates. The final score was 1-0 in favor of the Wolverines. Valentim Carrapa, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. Pedro Galló earned his 22nd save in 24 tries.
Juan Gruzmán found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Atlantic City hurler David Tredgett, the 21-year-old pinch hitter grounded out, driving in 1 run. His 2nd RBI of the season put the Wolverines on top, 1-0.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Merrado said.
