Victory Pushes Bulldogs Record to 40-39
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers got a sterling performance from shortstop Héctor Camacho, but the Bulldogs still prevailed, 7-4. Camacho was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Craig Wyman earned the save, his 4th. Silicon Valley's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The Bulldogs got a lift from catcher Jeff Butler who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh inning off Juan Vazquez. It was his 43rd walk of the season and put Spokane in front, 5-4.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Butler told the Spokane Times. "It's as simple as that."
