Late Rally by Wolverines Secures Win
The Wolverines faced a stiff challenge from Atlantic City pitcher Chris Burgess, but persevered to claim a win at Howling Park. The final score was 3-2. Burgess went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Wichita reliever Juan Salinas picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Sergio García shouldered the loss. Wichita bumps their record to 43-36 with the win.

One important at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Atlantic City hurler Chris Burgess, Willis Pierce, who is tied for 9th in the FFL in total bases with 134, drew a walk. The Wolverines went on to win.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Wichita manager Dave Moran. "Our pregame was pretty good."
