Stanbridge, Buzzard's Bay Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats got a magnificent performance from pitcher Iestyn Stanbridge, who stifled the Rock River offense en route to a 1-0 Beetlecats win at Bloomfield Road. Mike Salter picked up the save for Buzzard's Bay, his 19th of the year. The 5th-place Beetlecats improved to 36-38.

Stanbridge, a native of Lincoln, England, was dealing all game. He kept Rock River hitters off-balance, while giving the Beetlecats 6.2 quality innings. Stanbridge threw 89 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 8.

"Runs were at a premium," said Buzzard's Bay manager Keith Irwin.
