The Topeka Predators bested the Long Island Ducks by a score of 4-3, with left fielder Omar McKoy getting the main credit. On the day, McKoy was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Predators. César Quintana was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 10 save opportunities. Topeka, at 42-34, sits in third place in the Bob Moose League Jim Leyland Division.

The Predators used some clutch hitting to beat the Ducks, a good example being the at-bat of Jim Bailey in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, Bailey gave his team the lead, 4-3, when he hit a run-scoring single.
