Tune-Ups Knock Off Lights at UFO Field

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Rick McKinney, the Youngstown Tune-Ups defeated the Phoenix Lights, 7-4. McKinney went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Tune-Ups. Koshiro Ohayashi closed the game out for Youngstown, earning his 24th save. Youngstown is second in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League with a record of 41-33.
Nick Wedemeyer was one of the major contributors to the win for Youngstown. The light-hitting shortstop stroked a double to left in the top of the fifth inning. For the day, he went 1-5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," McKinney told the Youngstown News.
