Rats Keep Streak Alive With 7-5 Win
The Rock River Rats downed the Wichita Wolverines, 7-5, at The Rat Hole. The Rats were led by Lee Brooks, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Earning his 18th save of the year was Kevin Crosby. The first-place Rats now have a 12-game winning streak.

Brooks came through with some timely hitting for Rock River. With the score 0-0 in the bottom of the first and no one down, Brooks hit a 1-0 slider for a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season made it 2-0, Rock River.
